The United States government has extended until April 30th a series of guidelines to try to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

Known as “The President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America, 15 Days to Slow the Spread,” the document encourages people to follow the directions of State and local authorities.

It also asks those who feel sick to stay home, do not go to work, and contact their medical provider.

“If you are an older person, stay home and away from other people,” the document says.

These guidelines have been promoted by President Donald Trump in daily press briefings where a national task force against Covid-19 lead by Vicepresident, Mike Pence, has brought updates to the American public about what the administration has been doing to coordinate a wide range of efforts, from securing medical supplies to coordinating the economic and financial response to the current public health crisis.
